UPS, FedEx, and IE7 Virus Emails
8/13/08 -- Two new virus emails are in the wild, one claiming to be from UPS or FedEx, and the other from Microsoft.

The UPS/FedEx email claims that a package you sent or are scheduled to receive will not be delivered unless you print out a form from the attached ZIP file. However, the attached ZIP file contains a trojan (virus).

To track UPS or FedEx packages, go to the company's website.

The Microsoft email claims to have a link for an update to Internet Explorer 7. It says you are receiving the email because you signed up for "MSN Featured Offers," which in fact does not exist. Clicking on the link will cause you to download a virus.

Microsoft will never send updates by email. To update your computer, go to your Start menu and click on "Windows Updates" or "Microsoft Updates."
